Senior Software Engineer, CCIP

The CCIP Protocol team at Chainlink Labs is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to design and maintain the services that coordinate fast, fault-tolerant cross-chain transactions under adversarial conditions. This role strengthens the reliability, security, and operational resilience of the core CCIP protocol while helping accelerate protocol performance and long-term ecosystem growth. All Chainlink Labs roles are global and remote-based.

• Build and evolve backend services that power secure, reliable cross-chain message execution
• Improve protocol reliability for EVM chains with resilient, security-first systems
• Reduce cross-chain transaction latency through RPC and protocol performance optimizations
• Develop internal tooling for faster diagnosis and resolution of production issues
• Contribute to protocol security initiatives strengthening CCIP's resilience under adversarial conditions
• Participate in technical design discussions on architecture and long-term scalability

• Demonstrated backend engineering experience using Go, Rust, or TypeScript
• Experience delivering software within crypto projects or remote-first engineering organizations
• Proven ability to design distributed systems with security and reliability as foundational principles
• Experience building or maintaining production backend systems focused on resiliency
• Preferred: knowledge of DeFi protocols, cloud infrastructure, blockchain bridges, and non-EVM ecosystems (Solana, Aptos, Canton)
