VP, Protocol / Backend Engineer

Galaxy Digital is seeking a VP-level Protocol/Backend Engineer to build the systems powering Galaxy's blockchain protocol and staking infrastructure. This remote-eligible US role combines deep backend engineering with blockchain protocol expertise, building Rust/Go systems that interface with Ethereum, Solana, and other proof-of-stake networks at institutional scale.

• Design and build Rust/Go backend systems for blockchain validator management and protocol infrastructure.
• Lead engineering for HSM/MPC-integrated key management systems securing Galaxy's validator keys.
• Build protocol monitoring, slashing protection, and attestation systems for multi-network validator fleets.
• Collaborate with the Protocol Director and staking teams to optimize protocol-level yield and revenue.
• Define engineering standards for protocol backend infrastructure and mentor senior engineers.

• 8+ years of backend engineering with strong Rust or Go proficiency at VP or equivalent seniority.
• Deep knowledge of Ethereum PoS and Solana validator mechanics, including client software internals.
• Experience building HSM/MPC custody integrations or cryptographic key management systems.
• Strong distributed systems background; experience with high-availability blockchain node infrastructure.
• Comfort operating at a senior level across engineering and protocol domains simultaneously.
