Validator Engineer
Job Description
Ritual is hiring a Validator Engineer to own the uptime, performance, and reliability of the network's validators, acting as the primary technical contact for validator operators across testnet and mainnet.
Responsibilities
- Build and automate bare-metal and cloud validator deployments
- Orchestrate client upgrades, parameter changes, and hard forks with zero downtime
- Profile and patch execution/consensus client performance
- Produce run-books and support validator operators via Discord
- Maintain observability (logs, metrics, traces) for all validator operations
What we are looking for
- 4+ years operating high-availability distributed systems / PoS validators
- Go and Rust (EL/CL client code)
- Fork-choice, slashing, state sync protocol concepts
- Kubernetes/Helm, Terraform, CI/CD
- Advanced Linux and networking/security hardening
Additional Information
This Validator Engineer role covers both testnet and mainnet validator operations for Ritual's network, requiring experience with proof-of-stake client internals (execution and consensus layer) alongside standard SRE/infrastructure skills.
