Solution Architect

Xapo Bank is seeking a Solution Architect to design and govern the technical architecture of its banking and Bitcoin platform. This remote role spans the full technology stack, working with engineering leads to define integration patterns, API architecture, and scalable system design across Xapo's regulated banking and DLT infrastructure.

• Design end-to-end architecture for new banking and Bitcoin product features.
• Define API contracts, integration standards, and inter-service communication patterns.
• Review and govern technical designs across Xapo's engineering teams.
• Lead technical evaluation for third-party integrations and vendor solutions.
• Ensure architecture aligns with Gibraltar regulatory and compliance requirements.

• 7+ years of software architecture or senior engineering experience.
• Strong background in distributed systems, API design, and microservices.
• Experience with banking or fintech infrastructure (payment rails, core banking, or similar).
• Understanding of Bitcoin, Lightning Network, or digital asset custodial systems is highly valued.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
