Software / Systems Architect
Job Description
Consensys is building institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure. The platform includes a sequencer and coordinator, a ZK proving stack, cross-ledger interoperability, privacy and settlement components, and production infrastructure for institutional clients. This is a hands-on individual contributor role that owns the overall architecture.
Responsibilities
- Own architecture across the platform and the interfaces between its components.
- Design cross-ledger interoperability, treated as core IP.
- Translate institutional client requirements (availability, finality, privacy, key custody) into buildable designs.
- Build proofs of concept and write architecture decision records.
- Make build-versus-buy decisions and support technical deep-dives with clients.
What we are looking for
- 8+ years of hands-on software engineering.
- Recent distributed-systems work in languages such as Kotlin, Go, Rust, Solidity, TypeScript or Zig.
- Ethereum and EVM knowledge, or ability to learn quickly.
- Clear design documentation and experience architecting secure, mission-critical systems.
Additional Information
Full-time, remote in Europe (secondary location listed: New York). Compensation figures are not stated in the posting.
