Job Description

Software Engineer on Dune's Data team, ensuring the data platform scales to accommodate growing blockchain data volume, with heavy focus on distributed systems and distributed databases.

Responsibilities

Design/develop distributed systems and take part in architectural decisions
Own components of the blockchain data platform (ingestion, decoding)
Write Kotlin/Go with some Java/Rust
Improve developer experience (test setups, integration tests, deployment)
Automate incident diagnosis/resolution using AI; build AI agents for platform automation

What we are looking for

Strong CS generalist fundamentals
Understanding of (or drive to learn) distributed system design
Understanding of blockchain technology and RPC interactions
Experience with datalakes/formats (Parquet, Delta, Iceberg)
Strong collaboration skills; JVM language experience
