Software Engineer, Backend (Trading)

Phantom is a fully remote, self-custody wallet and trading app that gives users access to perpetuals, prediction markets, tokenized assets and stablecoins. As a backend engineer you will build the systems that power its trading experiences, bridging blockchain infrastructure and the user-facing product.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement APIs, data pipelines and services for trading experiences
- Implement and aggregate new trading protocols, aggregators and trade types, and experiment with new trading surfaces
- Lead initiatives to add support for other blockchains and launch complementary products
- Work directly with end users and developers building on Phantom to collect feedback
- Help build a culture of raising the bar with each new hire
What we are looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of full-time software engineering experience
- Demonstrated interest in open, community-driven platforms
- Nice to have: experience with trading systems
- English language proficiency
