Financial Intelligence Unit Senior Specialist - Crypto

The Senior Specialist conducts independent investigations of potentially suspicious retail banking and virtual currency activity, covering BSA, USA PATRIOT Act and AML compliance. The role is part of SoFi's Compliance department.
Responsibilities
- Review AML investigations focused on cryptocurrency and other virtual assets to decide whether SARs are warranted
- Perform on-chain investigations of wallet risk, source and destination of funds and sanctions exposure
- Stay current on AML typologies for digital assets, such as mixers, cross-chain activity and DeFi risks
- Support training documentation, standards and procedures
What we are looking for
- 3-5 years of investigations experience at a financial institution or government agency
- At least 1-2 years of cryptocurrency-related AML transaction monitoring
- Strong working knowledge of OFAC requirements
- Experience with blockchain analytics tools
- Nice to have: CAMS or CFE; Chainalysis certifications
Additional Information
Eligible for bonus. Remote work from Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico is not supported.
