Site Reliability Engineer

LayerZero is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to build and maintain the cloud infrastructure powering its omnichain interoperability protocol. You will own reliability, scalability, and performance of production systems processing cross-chain messages across dozens of blockchain networks. This role is based in Vancouver, BC with remote flexibility and offers a competitive salary of $120,000–$200,000 USD.

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS and GCP using Terraform and GitOps practices.
• Manage and optimize Kubernetes clusters supporting high-throughput omnichain messaging workloads.
• Build and operate observability stacks using Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing tools.
• Lead incident response, on-call rotations, and postmortems to continuously improve system reliability.
• Partner with blockchain and protocol engineering teams to ensure infrastructure meets cross-chain application demands.

• 5+ years of SRE, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering experience in production cloud environments.
• Strong AWS or GCP expertise; Kubernetes, Helm, and Terraform proficiency.
• Experience with observability tools: Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty, or equivalent.
• Scripting and automation in Go or Python; CI/CD pipeline experience.
• Familiarity with blockchain node operation and Web3 infrastructure is a strong plus.
