Senior Software Engineer, Developer Platform

Offchain Labs, the team behind the Arbitrum stack that powers Arbitrum One, is hiring a senior backend engineer for its Developer Platform team. This team builds KMS, the non-custodial key-management and signing service behind ZeroDev's embedded smart-account wallets. The role centers on owning backend services and the cryptographic recovery/trust-model machinery that keeps user keys secure while the platform expands from consumer wallets toward programmatic, policy-driven signing.

• Build Go backend services that broker wallet creation, authentication, and signing at scale
• Implement key recovery and committee trust-model logic (distributed key generation, secret sharing) so no single party holds a user's key
• Operate within Trusted Execution Environments, reconstructing and handling key material under hardware isolation and remote attestation
• Build authentication and signing-provider integrations (passkeys/WebAuthn, OAuth, OTP, quorum approvals)
• Write design docs and decision records and work directly with external security auditors
• Run production services on Kubernetes, covering observability, secrets/cert management, on-call, and compliance controls

• Go (or equivalent systems language) in production
• Applied cryptography fundamentals (public-key crypto, signatures, key management)
• Distributed systems and API design
• Kubernetes and production operations/observability
• Security-first design and threat modeling
• Account abstraction / embedded wallet experience (nice-to-have: TEEs, MPC/threshold signing)
