Senior Smart Contract Engineer
Job Description
Galaxy Digital is seeking a Senior Smart Contract Engineer to build and secure smart contracts for Galaxy's DeFi, staking, and digital asset products. This role spans Solidity development, security analysis, and cross-chain contract deployment at one of the largest institutional crypto firms. Based in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Write, test, and audit Solidity smart contracts for Galaxy's DeFi and liquid staking protocols.
- Lead code reviews and security analyses of contract deployments across protocol upgrades.
- Integrate smart contracts with Galaxy's trading, staking, and settlement infrastructure.
- Research and prototype new DeFi mechanisms and token contract designs.
- Coordinate with external auditors and security researchers during audit preparation cycles.
What we are looking for
- 4+ years of Solidity development experience; proficiency with Foundry and Hardhat.
- Deep knowledge of EVM internals, gas optimization techniques, and smart contract security patterns.
- Hands-on experience with DeFi protocols: AMMs, lending markets, liquid staking, or similar.
- Familiarity with formal verification tools (Certora, Halmos) is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of Ethereum consensus, EIP standards, and protocol upgrade mechanisms.
