Senior Legal Counsel
Job Description
Lido is hiring a Senior Legal Counsel to advise on legal matters for the world's largest liquid staking protocol. You will work across regulatory compliance, DAO governance, token-related legal questions, and commercial agreements, helping Lido navigate the legal complexities of decentralized finance at scale.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice on DeFi protocol operations, staking mechanics, and DAO governance
- Advise on regulatory developments affecting liquid staking and Ethereum validators
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with node operators, custodians, and partners
- Support LDO token-related legal matters and Lido DAO governance processes
- Monitor global crypto regulatory trends and advise the team proactively
What we are looking for
- JD or equivalent legal qualification with 6+ years of experience
- Background in financial regulation, fintech, or crypto/DeFi legal matters
- Strong understanding of Ethereum, liquid staking, and DAO structures
- Experience with cross-jurisdictional regulatory analysis
- Comfort operating autonomously in a fast-moving, decentralized organization
