Senior Fullstack Engineer (Backend Focus)

Rugs.fun, a multiplayer trading game on Solana, is hiring a backend-heavy fullstack engineer to help scale the platform to millions of players. The role covers end-to-end product delivery across backend and frontend, with emphasis on high-scale real-time systems and reliability.

• Build and operate high-scale, real-time multiplayer systems (Kafka, Redis, WebSockets)
• Deliver fullstack features end-to-end across backend and React frontend
• Design reliable systems with idempotency, retries, consistency guarantees and background jobs
• Implement and optimize complex, dynamic animations
• Write unit, integration and end-to-end tests

• 5+ years fullstack experience with production backend and frontend work
• Strong React and JavaScript/TypeScript skills including state management
• Strong SQL fundamentals: optimization, indexing, transactions, schema design
• Experience with distributed systems and message queues (Kafka, BullMQ, RabbitMQ)
• Strong grasp of HTTP, SSL/TLS, CI/CD, Docker, Linux and observability
• Security best practices for finance/web3; effective with and without AI-assisted coding
