Senior Compliance Associate, KYC

Paxos is a regulated blockchain infrastructure company issuing and tokenizing assets for financial institutions. In this role you will manage customer risk through onboarding, ongoing due diligence and enhanced due diligence reviews for individual and institutional customers.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform KYC onboarding, ongoing due diligence and enhanced due diligence reviews
• Assess complex customer information and document well-supported, risk-based decisions, escalating where needed
• Support junior analysts through guidance and feedback on review quality
• Contribute to KYC procedures and operational guidance
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data and business teams and communicate with enterprise partners and their compliance teams
• Identify control gaps, support remediation, audits and regulatory examinations
• Recommend improvements to KYC tools and workflows, including through automation and AI
• Support the Compliance Operations team with occasional weekend duty

What we are looking for

• Strong working knowledge of US KYC requirements, including customer identification, beneficial ownership, CDD, EDD and risk rating
• Experience independently performing KYC reviews and documenting risk-based decisions
• Ability to coach junior analysts and collaborate across Compliance, Product, Engineering and Data
• Ability to manage competing priorities and use operational metrics to prioritize work

Additional Information
