Senior Backend Engineer (Data Platform)

Phantom is a fully remote, self-custody wallet and trading app used by tens of millions of people. As a core member of the Data Platform team you will design and run the streaming blockchain data platform that ingests, transforms and serves token, price and spam data to product teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and optimize scalable ETL pipelines, sourcing and integrating on-chain data
• Implement data quality frameworks and observability so data stays accurate, fresh and reliable
• Build systems that handle millions of requests per day with high availability and low latency
• Design and maintain data models and schemas
• Partner with product, design and engineering teams to turn requirements into backend platform solutions

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of backend experience building large-scale, high-availability systems
• Deep experience building and optimizing modern ETL pipelines in high-growth environments
• Experience with the stack, e.g. Go, Node.js, TypeScript, NestJS, Kafka, Redis, PostgreSQL
• Experience with data quality, observability and monitoring
• Web3 knowledge (on-chain data, wallet integrations) strongly preferred
