Security Engineer
Job Description
Nous Research runs Hermes Agent, a multi-tenant SaaS and enterprise agent platform available via dedicated VPC, self-hosted, and air-gapped deployment models. This Security Engineer role owns security end-to-end across infrastructure, products, and enterprise deployments.
The role spans production security across multiple cloud providers, platform hardening for the Hermes Agent product, and leading the company's SOC 2 readiness effort.
Responsibilities
- Own production security across AWS, GCP, Azure, and Vercel
- Secure the Hermes Agent platform, including sandboxing, agent identity, and credential/egress controls
- Own SOC 2 readiness
- Harden IAM across the organization
- Lead vulnerability management, penetration testing, and incident response
What we are looking for
- 8+ years of security engineering experience with multi-cloud expertise
- Track record securing SaaS products
- Strong fundamentals in Kubernetes, IAM, SSO, and SAML
- Experience implementing SOC 2 or ISO 27001 programs
