Software Engineer, Web3 Backend

Robinhood’s mission is to democratize finance for all. This backend engineer builds the Robinhood Wallet, Tokenization, and Web3 platform systems that connect traditional market infrastructure with on-chain systems, on a team applying frontier technology to financial problems.

• Design, build, test, and deploy scalable backend services and infrastructure across Robinhood Wallet, Tokenization, and Web3 platform systems
• Build the connective tissue between traditional market infrastructure (brokerage, ledgers, corporate actions) and on-chain systems
• Develop product-facing features and platform enhancements that meet strict correctness and scalability standards.
• Identify and implement improvements to system performance, engineering productivity, and risk reduction.
• Collaborate closely with product, compliance, client, platform teams, and external partners to deliver impactful technical solutions.

• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Expertise in backend development using languages such as Go, Python, or Java, with a solid grasp of cloud-native architectures.
• Strong grasp of system design, data modeling, and software engineering fundamentals.
• Care for correctness-critical systems—idempotency, reconciliation, and reasoning carefully about failure modes when money is at stake.
• Strong ownership mindset, with a track record of delivering high-quality projects end to end in cross-functional environments.
