Protocol Engineer

Alchemy, a developer platform whose infrastructure powers roughly 70% of top web3 teams and 100M+ end users, is hiring a Protocol Engineer to build distributed protocols that extend its developer platform — architecting smart-contract-based systems used by thousands of teams globally.

• Architect and design distributed protocols emphasizing security, performance, scalability
• Write, deploy, and test smart contracts and maintain them in production
• Define best practices for protocol upgrades and versioning across networks
• Collaborate with engineering, product and design on apps built atop the protocols
• Mentor engineers on Solidity/EVM best practices
• Track new Solidity releases, developer tooling, and exploits

• 6+ years relevant industry experience
• 2+ years smart contract development with production deployments and security audits
• Extreme proficiency with Solidity and the EVM
• Experience designing distributed protocols
• Experience building/managing high-TVL protocols (nice-to-have)
• Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment
