Principal Site Reliability Engineer

Copper is looking for a Principal SRE to own reliability for its institutional MPC custody and ClearLoop settlement platform. This senior individual contributor role is responsible for defining and implementing SRE standards across Copper's critical financial infrastructure, working remotely across the EMEA region.

• Define SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs for Copper's custody and settlement services.
• Lead incident response and run blameless post-mortems for production incidents.
• Design and implement observability platforms (metrics, logs, traces) at scale.
• Build automation for deployments, scaling, and fault remediation.
• Partner with engineering leads to embed reliability practices across the SDLC.

• 7+ years of SRE or DevOps engineering experience at principal or staff level.
• Deep expertise with Kubernetes, Helm, and cloud-native infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
• Strong software engineering skills (Go, Python, or similar) for tooling and automation.
• Experience building observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Background in financial services, fintech, or high-stakes production systems preferred.
