Principal Mobile Engineer, Platform - MetaMask

Consensys is seeking a Principal Mobile Engineer to define the architecture and technical direction of MetaMask Mobile—the wallet used by tens of millions worldwide. You will be the most senior hands-on technical leader for the React Native + native iOS/Android platform, driving high-impact cross-team initiatives around performance, stability, developer experience, and AI-enabled workflows.

• Own and evolve the architecture of MetaMask Mobile (React Native + native iOS/Android), defining tradeoffs between JS/TS and native layers
• Lead large-scale upgrades, migrations, and structural performance/stability work (startup time, crash rate, ANRs, memory)
• Improve tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and release workflows; push toward push-button releases with reduced operational toil
• Integrate AI/LLMs into engineering workflows; mentor Staff/Senior engineers and shape technical culture

• 10+ years building and scaling mobile apps with prior Staff/Principal-level impact on large React Native platforms
• Deep React Native expertise in production: architecture, performance, debugging, and bridging
• Solid experience with native iOS (Swift/SwiftUI) and/or Android (Kotlin/Jetpack) including native modules
• Strong understanding of mobile CI/CD, release engineering, and OTA systems; experience in crypto/web3 is a plus
