Platform Engineering Manager

Galaxy Digital is hiring a Platform Engineering Manager to lead the infrastructure and platform team. The role owns AWS/EKS-based platform services, Kafka event streaming, HSM/MPC key management systems, and deployment pipelines supporting Galaxy's institutional products. Based in New York, NY with compensation of $200,000–$260,000 USD.

• Manage and mentor a team of platform engineers building shared infrastructure across Galaxy's business units.
• Own the technical roadmap for AWS/EKS compute, Kafka messaging, KMS/HSM key management, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive reliability and performance improvements for platform services supporting trading, staking, and custody products.
• Partner with security and protocol teams to harden platform infrastructure for crypto-native workloads.
• Define SLOs and operational practices; lead incident response for platform-critical systems.

• 7+ years of engineering experience; 3+ years in engineering management or staff tech lead capacity.
• Deep experience with AWS infrastructure, EKS, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Pulumi).
• Strong understanding of Kafka or similar event streaming platforms at scale.
• Experience with HSM, KMS, or MPC key management systems in financial or crypto contexts.
• Track record of building high-performing platform or SRE teams in production environments.
