Staff Product Security Engineer
Job Description
Phantom is hiring a Staff Product Security Engineer to protect its crypto-finance platform across mobile, web and backend. The role combines hands-on security work — threat modeling, code review, vulnerability triage — with technical leadership, setting security patterns and influencing architecture company-wide.
Responsibilities
- Identify and remediate security risks across mobile, web, APIs and backend services
- Lead threat modeling and security reviews for new products and architecture changes
- Embed security controls throughout the SDLC
- Perform AI-assisted code review and targeted security testing
- Strengthen CI/CD and software supply-chain security
- Triage vulnerabilities from testing, researchers and bug bounties
- Set technical direction for product security across engineering
What we are looking for
- 5+ years in product/application security or security engineering at senior/staff level
- Strong web, mobile, API and distributed-systems security expertise
- Code review proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Rust, Python or Go
- Software supply chain and CI/CD security experience
- Threat modeling and exploitability/risk assessment
- Wallet, blockchain or self-custody security experience a plus
