Staff Engineer, Full Stack (Trust, Safety & Risk)

Phantom, the leading self-custodial multi-chain wallet across Solana, Ethereum, Polygon and Bitcoin, is hiring a Staff Engineer to build the systems that safeguard users, products and the platform. The role works across the stack to detect and prevent abuse, assess emerging risks, reduce financial loss, and equip internal teams with the tools and intelligence needed to respond quickly.

• Build real-time risk controls and decisioning systems for ACH, debit cards, onramps and off-ramps
• Develop signals, models and product interventions that identify malicious wallets and transactions
• Build scalable KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and case management systems
• Create pipelines combining on-chain activity, product data and third-party signals into risk insights
• Partner with product and engineering to design safeguards into new features from the start

• 8+ years of full-time software engineering experience
• Experience designing and operating reliable, data-intensive production systems
• Ability to work across frontend, backend, APIs, data pipelines and third-party integrations
• Nice to have: experience with fraud, risk, identity, KYC, AML, sanctions, payments or blockchain systems
