Principal AI Engineer, AI Agent Development

OKX is hiring a Principal Engineer with deep expertise in autonomous AI agent architecture to spearhead the design, development, and optimization of intelligent agent systems on its global crypto exchange platform. The role combines a hands-on AI science background with strategic oversight, designing agents that can reason, act, and evolve in real-time trading, security, compliance, and customer interaction environments.

• Lead the design and lifecycle management of autonomous AI agents for crypto exchange operations (trading bots, risk detection, fraud prevention agents)
• Architect multi-agent systems (MAS) and frameworks supporting goal-directed, reasoning, and reinforcement-learning-based agents
• Collaborate with product, engineering, business, and operations teams to define agent roles and measurable KPIs
• Drive experimentation, simulations, and continuous learning pipelines for agent performance optimization
• Mentor and lead a team of AI scientists and engineers; help define the AI roadmap and research strategy

• PhD or Master's in CS, AI, ML, Robotics or related field with at least 10 years of industry experience
• Proven experience building and deploying autonomous AI agents in live environments (AutoGPT, OpenAgents, LangGraph, LangFuse, Dify, Coze)
• Experience with goal-oriented agents, context engineering, memory management, tool use, and RL-based decision making
• Track record delivering end-to-end AI systems in fast-paced, high-scale environments
