Controller

Nous Research is hiring a Controller to own accounting and help build the in-house finance function supporting its AI models, infrastructure, and products. Working directly with the Head of Finance, this is a hands-on accounting role that also feeds into product, pricing, and business-model strategy alongside Product and Engineering.

• Partner on budgets and forecasts
• Shape product strategy through financial analysis
• Build practical processes and internal controls
• Own the financial close and US GAAP compliance
• Manage deferred revenue and subscription accounting
• Handle equity and financing accounting
• Support capital raises
• Manage AP/AR and coordinate audit prep and tax compliance

• US GAAP accounting expertise
• Financial close ownership experience
• SaaS/subscription revenue accounting
• Equity and financing accounting background
• Experience supporting fundraising processes
• Comfort operating in a fast-scaling startup finance function

As Nous scales Hermes Agent and Hermes Business, this Controller role builds the financial backbone, from GAAP-compliant close to the accounting infrastructure needed to support future capital raises.
