Senior Security Engineer
Job Description
NEAR Foundation supports growth of the NEAR ecosystem (NEAR AI, NEAR Intents, NEAR Protocol) across multiple entities. This Senior Security Engineer role is a deep technical owner of information security work, designing, hardening, and automating security systems and controls while leading the information security program end-to-end.
Responsibilities
- Lead the information security program, driving SOC II / ISO27001 readiness
- Run logging, monitoring, and incident response, plus vulnerability management
- Own identity, access, and endpoint stack security (SSO/MFA/MDM/EDR)
- Engineer security automation and lead tooling rollouts
- Secure the AWS/GCP footprint and maintain the policy library
What we are looking for
- 7+ years information security with IT engineering depth
- SOC II Type 2 / ISO 27001 readiness experience
- Hands-on IAM/endpoint/cloud (AWS or GCP) experience
- Scripting in Python/Go/Bash
- Experience with SSO/IdP platforms, MDM/EDR, and SIEM stacks
Additional Information
Near-term priorities include leading SOC II Type 2 and ISO 27001 readiness at NEAR AI and supporting the NEAR Security Committee. Compensation includes a combination of salary and NEAR token incentives.
