Member of Technical Staff, Custody (Backend Engineer)
Job Description
As a member of Anchorage Digital's Custody organization, this engineer helps provide secure custodial and technology services enabling institutions to move, store, and interact with digital assets, smart contracts, and traditional banking rails.
Responsibilities
- Participate in task breakdown, estimation, design, implementation, and maintenance of Custody systems
- Write, review, test, and document code to Anchorage's engineering standards
- Dive into complex, ambiguous problems and formulate practical solutions
- Drive medium-to-large cross-functional projects end-to-end
- Mentor other engineers and share organizational knowledge
What we are looking for
- Real-world experience building complex distributed systems (primarily Go, though language is flexible)
- Strong CS fundamentals: concurrency, algorithms, data structures
- Experience prioritizing end-user experience and business value
- Bonus: applied cryptography background, GraphQL/gRPC API experience, finance industry background
