IT Department Lead

Nethermind is looking for a seasoned IT leader to take full ownership of the Internal IT Department, spanning Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Security, IAM, and FinOps. This role owns the internal corporate technology estate the whole company runs on — developer platform, identity, security posture, and infrastructure spend. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will serve as the central point of coordination for all internal infrastructure and the go-to person for C-level and group leads on infrastructure matters. It is a hands-on leadership role where you manage people, drive strategy, and break down silos between DevOps and the wider organization.

• Lead and scale Platform Engineering, Infrastructure Security, IAM, and FinOps functions
• Drive IT strategy and define technical roadmaps in collaboration with the CIO
• Break down silos between DevOps and the wider engineering organization
• Serve as the go-to person for C-level and group leads on infrastructure matters
• Manage security incident response, threat modeling, and supply-chain risk scenarios

• 5+ years in a management role leading IT, infrastructure, or platform engineering teams
• Strong background in cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, and DevOps/SRE practices
• Hands-on understanding of IAM, infrastructure security, and FinOps disciplines
• Experience translating compliance requirements (SOC2, ISO 27001) into operational controls
• Practical experience with security incident response and threat modeling, including supply-chain and adversarial scenarios
• Excellent people management and communication skills for C-level stakeholders
