Internal Audit Manager (Luxembourg)

The Luxembourg Audit Manager joins Coinbase's Internal Audit team and owns a portfolio of operational, financial and compliance audits across the company's Luxembourg entity, providing independent third-line assurance over governance, risk management and control effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Own and coordinate audits covering financial controls, regulatory compliance, business processes, vendor risk and data governance under CSSF, ECB, EBA and ESMA requirements.
• Shape a multi-year audit roadmap aligned with frameworks such as MiCA, PSD2, AMLD and DORA.
• Turn audit findings into reports and presentations for executives, the Audit Committee, the Board and regulators.
• Drive remediation of findings and validate corrective actions.
• Partner with Finance, Compliance, Legal and Operations while maintaining third-line independence.
• Mentor audit talent and help modernize Internal Audit across EMEA.

What we are looking for

• 8+ years in internal, external or compliance audit in a regulated financial services environment, including managing audit teams and co-sourced engagements.
• Deep working knowledge of European and Luxembourg regulatory frameworks (CSSF, CBL, ECB, EBA, ESMA).
• Hands-on experience with financial controls, operational processes and control certifications using COSO, COBIT, SOC 2 or ISO 27001.
• Relevant certification (CIA, CISA or CFE) and ability to present to executive, Board and regulatory audiences.
• Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight.

Additional Information

Remote role in Luxembourg. Coinbase is remote-first but not remote-only, with quarterly in-person working sessions. Employer-stated base salary: €125,970 to €132,600, excluding equity and bonus.
