Head of People

Polymarket is looking for a world-class people leader to own the human infrastructure of the world's largest prediction market platform as it scales. With $21B in trading volume in 2025, Polymarket is growing fast and needs someone to drive the people function end-to-end — defining culture, building the systems that keep elite talent engaged and growing, and being a trusted partner to the founder and leadership when the hardest decisions need to get made.

• Define culture and codify performance, ownership, and behavioral expectations as the company scales
• Own onboarding, benefits, compliance, and core people systems — building simple, durable processes
• Act as trusted advisor to founders and managers on organizational design and high-stakes people decisions
• Design and implement feedback, growth, and accountability systems to recognize and retain top performers
• Continuously assess team health and address performance gaps, morale risks, and structural inefficiencies proactively

• Early or first People hire experience at a high-growth startup, scaling the function from the ground up
• Strong judgment in complex, high-stakes people situations
• Comfortable operating with limited structure and making decisions quickly
• Ability to balance empathy with accountability — caring about people while prioritizing performance
• Clear, direct communication style, especially in difficult conversations

This is a founding people role at Polymarket — you will build the people function from scratch at a company processing billions in prediction market volume. The role is based in New York City (on-site) and reports directly to the Founder & CEO.
