Head of KYC

The Head of KYC sits in Coinbase Central Compliance and owns global KYC strategy, policy and program execution across all regulated entities, operating as a shared-services function for global business lines.

• Own the end-to-end strategy for the global KYC program, including policy, implementation and process design.
• Lead second-line KYC professionals and ensure consistent execution across jurisdictions.
• Oversee global KYC issue management, corrective actions and first-line performance.
• Serve as the directly responsible individual for regulatory reporting and correspondence.

• 10+ years managing and implementing KYC programs at a financial institution; digital assets or fintech experience preferred.
• Deep knowledge of global AML, CTF and sanctions regulations (BSA, FinCEN CDD Rule, EU AMLD, OFAC).
• Track record of building and scaling a global KYC program.

Coinbase is remote-first, not remote-only, with quarterly in-person working sessions called surges. Base salary varies by location.
