Head of Engineering
Job Description
Consensys is an independent blockchain infrastructure company that builds and runs institutional-grade networks for banks, custodians and market infrastructure. The Head of Engineering leads the engineering organization as the company moves to run its platform independently, with signed clients and production dates this quarter.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery across core engineering, smart contracts and infrastructure/DevOps, including client commitments on availability and latency.
- Own reliability, incident processes, disaster recovery and on-call for production networks, including a public mainnet and private client networks.
- Complete the separation from the former parent company's infrastructure.
- Set the technical roadmap with Product and Sales and define engineering standards and release process.
- Build and develop engineering managers and team leads.
What we are looking for
- Deep Ethereum and EVM experience.
- Has led a 20+ person engineering organization across multiple teams.
- Has owned production systems under contractual SLAs.
- Strong distributed-systems judgment; payments, exchange or market-infrastructure backgrounds valued.
Additional Information
Full-time, fully remote and asynchronous. Compensation figures are not stated in the posting.
