Senior Security Engineer
Job Description
Gauntlet is hiring a Senior Security Engineer to partner with the Head of Security to build, operate and scale its security program at the intersection of capital, risk and technology, securing some of the largest and most sophisticated DeFi activities. Owns security projects across product, infrastructure and operations, designs controls/automation/detection for an adversarial environment involving billions in on-chain assets, and automates security work with AI (Claude Code, Codex, reusable Claude skills/agents).
Responsibilities
- Threat model new product features/integrations and harden systems
- Operate and evolve the application security toolchain
- Own day-to-day security operations across EDR, SIEM, on-chain monitoring, identity and cloud
- Triage vulnerability/bug-bounty findings, drive remediation, support incident response
- Automate repetitive security work with AI and build reusable AI components/agents
What we are looking for
- 5+ years hands-on security engineering (appsec and secops)
- Track record of technical security assessments and effective controls
- Proficiency in Python, TypeScript or JavaScript, working with AI coding tools
- Hands-on experience applying AI/LLMs to security automation
- Experience securing high-value/high-throughput transaction systems
