VP, Protocol Engineer (Validators)
Job Description
Galaxy's Blockchain Engineering Team deploys, secures and optimizes validator infrastructure across multiple blockchain networks. This VP-level Protocol Engineer will design, deploy and manage validator nodes, enhance automation workflows, monitor network performance and implement security measures, collaborating with protocols, foundations and staking partners.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain highly available, secure infrastructure for blockchain participation and custody
- Collaborate cross-functionally on infrastructure, monitoring and incident response improvements
- Identify automation opportunities to improve infrastructure operations
- Debug complex distributed blockchains and protocols to improve participation
- Implement monitoring/observability best practices for infrastructure health
- Maintain automation scripts and tools for deployment, scaling and recovery
What we are looking for
- Software engineering experience in .Net, Go, Rust, C/C++ or similar
- Scripting ability (Python, Perl or Bash) for process automation
- Demonstrated blockchain infrastructure experience (proof-of-stake, RPC)
- Cloud platform expertise (AWS/Azure/GCP) and virtualization (VMWare/KVM/Docker)
- Hands-on monitoring/observability tooling experience (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
- Hands-on Solana, Ethereum or similar validator infrastructure a bonus
