Director of Engineering, Dynamic Platform

The role combines strategic technical leadership with hands-on coding and design-review involvement, based out of Fireblocks' Miami or New York offices.

• Define the long-term technical roadmap, architecture and standards for the Platform team
• Stay actively hands-on: contribute to design reviews, set coding standards, and ship code
• Oversee design and delivery of highly complex distributed systems handling massive transaction volume and user growth
• Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing engineering organization
• Work directly with customers to understand technical needs and ensure the platform meets integration/performance requirements

• 5+ years of engineering-management experience leading multiple teams
• 10+ years of hands-on backend experience architecting large-scale, highly-secure distributed systems
• Deep security focus: experience with attack-vector analysis in finance, payments, crypto or authentication platforms
• Demonstrated experience scaling platforms to millions of users and high transaction throughput
• Proficiency in TypeScript and AWS infrastructure (TEE experience a plus)
