Business Development Manager, Blockchain and DeFi Ecosystem

Serving over 2,400 institutional customers, Fireblocks has secured the transfer of over $10 trillion in digital assets and powers 15% of all crypto transactions globally.
The Business Development Manager for the Blockchain and DeFi Ecosystem is a high-impact role that sits at the forefront of innovation in the digital asset market. You will focus primarily on decentralised finance (DeFi) use cases globally, working across product, legal, finance, marketing, and sales teams, and engaging directly with the most innovative customers and partners across the Fireblocks Network.
This is a hybrid role, 2–3 days per week in the London or New York office. Base salary: $155,000–$200,000, plus competitive equity and bonus.
Responsibilities
- Identify and grow new revenue streams using a commercial and innovative mindset
- Identify and prioritise new blockchains, protocols, and applications that support Fireblocks' 2,400-client network
- Create solutions that build on the core Fireblocks offering and partner ecosystem to deliver differentiated value for clients
- Work with product teams to develop solutions and sales teams to test market demand
- Identify, structure, and implement new partnerships
- Collaborate with marketing and sales globally to devise and deliver the GTM strategy
- Set, track, and meet a revenue target
- Represent Fireblocks externally as a subject matter expert at events and webinars
- Develop and maintain a strong network across the crypto industry to identify new opportunities
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of experience in crypto or venture capital, with a focus on DeFi
- Deep enthusiasm for blockchain, DeFi, and advancing the digital asset industry
- Strong network in the crypto industry with a track record of building and leveraging relationships to drive revenue
- Strong financial background and proven commercial experience, including building business cases with revenue and profit models
- Proven ability to influence and communicate effectively with senior executives internally and externally
- Creative approach to problem solving and an entrepreneurial mindset
- Ability to learn quickly and work in fast-paced, high-ambiguity environments with limited guidance
