Protocol Security Researcher
Job Description
The Ethereum Foundation's Protocol Security team is hiring a researcher to help prevent vulnerabilities from reaching Ethereum mainnet, working across the execution layer, consensus layer, networking, specs, testing, and client implementations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct AI-assisted security research and automated bug discovery
- Review hardforks for security issues
- Build fuzzers for protocol components
- Perform manual security review
- Coordinate responsible disclosure and support external audits
What we are looking for
- Active experience in Ethereum protocol development
- Deep execution-layer or consensus-layer, or spec experience
- Security research or fuzzing background
- Proficiency in Go, Rust, Java, C#, Nim, or Python
