Engineering Manager, Wallet
Job Description
Mysten Labs is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead the team building wallet and DeFi experiences for the Sui ecosystem through its Slush wallet product. The role owns team health and delivery across account creation and recovery, key management, signing, transaction construction and simulation, dApp connectivity, and DeFi features like swaps, staking, and bridging.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support the engineering team building Slush's wallet and DeFi functionality
- Own delivery across key management, signing, transaction construction/simulation, and dApp connectivity
- Partner with product, design, protocol, and security teams on usability, decentralization, and asset-safety tradeoffs
- Guide DeFi feature development including swaps, staking, bridges, and lending integrations
What we are looking for
- Experience managing engineers in a high-ownership environment
- Direct, hands-on experience with production wallet functionality — self-custody, signing, RPC failure handling
- Fluency with DeFi mechanics (bridges, staking, lending, DEX routing)
- Familiarity with Sui/Move and standards like zkLogin and the Wallet Standard is a plus
Additional Information
This is Mysten Labs' first wallet-specific engineering-management opening in the WIC dataset, and compensation includes both cash and Sui token grants — a signal that first-party wallet and DeFi tooling, alongside DeepBook, is becoming a bigger organizational priority.
