Engineering Manager, Stablecoins

Cloudflare's Emerging Technologies & Incubation group is building stablecoin payments to make the web payable at machine scale, with blockchain-based settlement, programmable agent wallets and micropayment rails for AI agents. This Engineering Manager leads the team behind those products.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach and grow engineers working across blockchain architecture, stablecoin wallets and cryptographic payment channels
- Own execution by setting clear priorities and delivering predictably
- Lead development of a high-throughput blockchain stack enabling ultra-low-latency micropayments
- Lead engineering behind usage metering, pricing engines, outcome verification and revenue attribution for agentic workflows
- Partner with Product Management to shape the roadmap
- Own operational health, including observability, incident response and cryptographic security
What we are looking for
- Experience leading and developing high-performing engineering teams
- Technical credibility in distributed systems, smart contracts and cryptographic protocols
- Care for reliability and quality in systems that handle monetary transactions
- Comfort with ambiguity and strong product judgment
- Bonus: L1/L2 or wallet experience, hybrid fiat/crypto payment infrastructure and familiarity with Cloudflare Workers and Durable Objects
Additional Information
Locations: London, Austin, San Francisco or New York. Estimated salary $200,000 - $288,000 (Bay Area) or $190,000 - $275,000 (NYC), plus equity. The role may require on-call flexibility.
