Engineering Manager, Institutional Trading
Job Description
Blockchain.com is looking for an Engineering Manager for its Institutional Trading team in London. This management role leads a team of back-end engineers building prime brokerage APIs, institutional OTC infrastructure, and market-making services for Blockchain.com's institutional client base including hedge funds, family offices, and corporate treasuries.
Responsibilities
- Lead, hire, and mentor a team of back-end engineers focused on institutional trading.
- Own the technical roadmap for institutional trading APIs, OTC systems, and prime services.
- Define engineering standards, processes, and delivery cadence for the team.
- Partner with institutional sales, product, and quant teams on roadmap priorities.
- Drive architectural decisions for high-availability, low-latency institutional infrastructure.
What we are looking for
- 2+ years of engineering management; 5+ years of back-end engineering experience.
- Technical background in trading systems, financial platforms, or fintech infrastructure.
- Proven ability to hire, develop, and retain senior engineers.
- Understanding of institutional trading, OTC markets, and prime brokerage concepts.
- Experience managing distributed or cross-functional engineering groups.
