Engineering Director, Application Security

Job Description
Leads Trail of Bits' Application Security practice, a team of 12 security engineers performing code audits, vulnerability research, and secure design reviews for demanding clients. Reports to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical delivery & own P&L
- Staff and grow the practice
- Develop engineers' careers/visibility
- Set technical direction on tooling/methodology
- Integrate AI into the practice
What we are looking for
- 10+ years in security including source code audits (not just pentesting)
- Recent hands-on security work in the last 12 months
- Experience leading 8+ engineers with financial accountability
- Proficiency in 4+ of Rust/Go/Python/C/C++/Solidity/JS-TS
- Track record managing consulting profitability/utilization
