Data Operations Engineer, X-Layer
Job Description
OKX is hiring a Data Operations Engineer for its X-Layer team in Singapore. You will drive reliability, observability, performance, and cost efficiency of OKX's multi-cloud data platform across Alibaba Cloud (DataWorks, MaxCompute, Hologres, VVP/Flink) and AWS (Databricks, StarRocks). This is a platform SRE role combining daily operations, incident response, monitoring, and automation at global scale.
Responsibilities
- Operate and support core data platform components including MaxCompute, Hologres, VVP/Flink, Databricks, and StarRocks
- Build and maintain monitoring, alerting, and SLA/SLO metrics for data platform services
- Respond to production incidents, troubleshoot issues, and drive post-incident reviews and long-term fixes
- Develop automation scripts and operational tools to improve health checks, releases, scaling, and troubleshooting efficiency
What we are looking for
- 3+ years in data platform operations, big data engineering, SRE, or cloud infrastructure
- Hands-on experience with MaxCompute/ODPS, Hologres, Databricks, StarRocks, Flink, Spark, or similar
- Strong SQL skills and solid Linux fundamentals with Shell or Python scripting
- Experience with AWS or Alibaba Cloud; current right to work in Singapore
