Job Description
Cyclops is a stablecoin platform built exclusively for the payments industry, having closed a $20M Series A in July 2026. This Senior Software Engineer role (Technical Leadership/Platform specialization) focuses on system design, reliability, and long-term platform evolution.
Responsibilities
- Design and evolve core platform services for reliability and data integrity
- Identify architectural risks and scalability limits before they become production issues
- Own the technical relationship with integration partners
- Design reliability mechanisms (retries, timeouts, idempotency, fallback modes)
- Implement the most complex backend components in TypeScript/Node.js
What we are looking for
- 6+ years professional backend development
- Deep hands-on experience building and operating crypto infrastructure (custody, wallets, exchange, payment, or settlement systems)
- Strong TypeScript/Node.js and distributed-systems design experience (microservices, REST APIs, queues)
- PostgreSQL and proficient daily use of AI coding tools
Additional Information
Engagement is as an independent contractor, with compensation and terms outlined in a contractor agreement.
