Engineering Manager - Identity, Compliance & Risk

Crossmint is hiring a senior, player-coach Engineering Manager to own identity, compliance and risk as a single engineering horizontal underpinning every Crossmint product. • Own the engineering roadmap for identity, compliance and risk
• Define shared services other teams build on: identity/account models, verification/onboarding, auth, screening and monitoring, risk decisioning
• Set domain models that hold across clients, projects, jurisdictions and regulatory regimes
• Manage, grow and develop a team of engineers, including hiring and mentorship
• Review architecture and design documents, lead threat modelling and failure-mode analysis
• Partner with Compliance and Legal to translate regulatory obligations into product requirements
• Support audit and supervisory review with system-generated evidence
• Participate in the on-call rotation

• 8+ years building production systems, with 2+ years managing engineers
• Track record shipping in a regulated environment (payments, banking, lending, crypto)
• Hands-on depth in identity/authentication, KYC/KYB, onboarding, fraud/risk decisioning, or AML screening
• Strong programming skills in a modern language, TypeScript ideal
• Experience designing data and domain models across multiple clients and regulatory regimes
• Deep familiarity with current AI and agentic tools
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
