Senior Application Security Engineer
Job Description
MetaMask serves over 30 million monthly active users as a decentralized application platform, DEX aggregator, and identity manager. This Senior Application Security Engineer embeds security into all phases of the SDLC, working closely with development teams and PMs to ensure products meet the highest security standards, primarily supporting MetaMask.
Responsibilities
- Determine root cause and severity of bug-bounty vulnerabilities
- Interface with ethical hackers and guide engineering teams to resolution
- Support product teams via design reviews, threat modeling, and security testing
- Validate security patches and test for bypasses
- Develop automation and security controls, educating developers
What we are looking for
- Software development experience
- Deep knowledge of Ethereum/other blockchains, DApps, and crypto wallets a plus
- Smart contract security knowledge a plus
- Strong understanding of SSDLC and vulnerability remediation
Additional Information
US pay range is $130,000-$218,000, not including bonus, equity, or other benefits. MetaMask has experienced explosive user growth as a cryptographic key manager and web3 application development platform.
