Compliance Director
Job Description
Veda builds DeFi vault infrastructure managing billions of dollars in TVL for partners including Kraken, EtherFi, MetaMask, and Plasma. The Compliance Director will oversee Veda's global compliance framework, reporting directly to the General Counsel.
This role is responsible for building and running compliance programs that let Veda operate safely across a fast-moving regulatory landscape while supporting its growing partner network.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement compliance programs covering AML/CFT, sanctions, data security, and diligence
- Monitor DeFi regulatory developments and translate them into internal policy
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and applicable financial law
- Manage partner due diligence processes
- Act as the primary point of contact for regulators and auditors
- Conduct internal compliance reviews
- Maintain compliance documentation
- Partner with Product, Security, and Engineering on privacy-by-design
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of compliance or regulatory experience in fintech or crypto
- Strong knowledge of AML/CFT and data protection frameworks
- Self-directed, comfortable operating with high autonomy
