Business Development Lead, Agentic Commerce

Rain is a global stablecoin payments platform and a Visa and Mastercard Principal Member, issuing stablecoin-funded cards for enterprises, neobanks and AI agents. This role builds and scales Rain's presence in the emerging agentic commerce ecosystem at the intersection of stablecoins and AI.

Responsibilities

• Build the agentic commerce pipeline across AI-native companies, agent platforms and payments players
• Develop the agentic commerce strategy: priority segments, use cases, target accounts and partnership opportunities
• Drive commercial execution from value proposition to long-term partnership
• Lead strategic partnerships from outreach through negotiation, deal execution and handoff
• Build relationships with founders, developers and industry leaders in AI-powered commerce and autonomous payments
• Bring market intelligence into product and engineering discussions and shape Rain's market position

What we are looking for

• 6+ years in business development, strategic partnerships or a related commercial role, ideally in AI, fintech, payments or emerging technology
• Strong understanding of the AI ecosystem, especially agentic commerce and the infrastructure behind autonomous transactions
• Demonstrated ability to source, negotiate and close strategic partnerships
• Entrepreneurial mindset and strong commercial judgment
• Credible with both technical and business stakeholders

Additional Information

Hybrid, New York. The employer lists a salary range of $210,000 – $250,000 plus equity and bonus.
