Sr. Security Engineer
Job Description
Brave builds a free, privacy-first web browser that blocks third-party ads and trackers by default, alongside a browser-native crypto wallet and the BAT attention-rewards ecosystem, used by 110M+ people. The security and privacy team is hiring a staff-level Security Engineer to help keep users safe across Brave's browser and Search products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct security reviews of Brave products
- Triage and fix security reports
- Design and implement security-relevant code
- Run penetration tests of Brave products and infrastructure
What we are looking for
- 5+ years of security engineering experience
- Penetration testing and/or security auditing experience
- Proficiency in C++, implementing and reviewing
- Strong familiarity with the web security model
- Experience securing AWS infrastructure
