Head of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)

Blockchain.com is looking for a Head of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to serve as the principal leader developing and executing its infrastructure reliability strategy as the company scales. This is a senior leadership role shaping the infrastructure vision at a high-growth crypto financial services company, based in London with a hybrid schedule (in-office four days per week).

• Establish a multi-year platform and reliability strategy, defining the SRE roadmap and engineering standards for observability, automation, and production readiness
• Lead, mentor, and scale a global team of senior SREs
• Architect and manage secure hybrid infrastructure across GCP, AWS, and on-premise data centers using Kubernetes and HashiCorp Nomad with zero-trust principles
• Own incident response and root-cause analysis, ensuring MTTD/MTTR targets are met
• Govern cloud architecture, infrastructure-as-code, networking, and cost management

• Proven experience leading senior SRE teams in 24/7 financial environments
• Deep expertise in GCP and AWS networking/management, Kubernetes, Nomad, and Terraform
• Solid background in bare-metal hardware, data center networking, and Cloudflare Zero Trust architectures
• Strong software engineering background with deep understanding of distributed systems and Linux

Notable as a leadership-level infrastructure hire at one of crypto's oldest platforms (est. 2011, 90M+ wallet holders), tasked with building a multi-year reliability strategy across a hybrid GCP/AWS/on-prem estate rather than a greenfield build.
