BD Director, Payments (Mexico & Central America)

Polygon Labs is a blockchain payments company building infrastructure to move money onchain. This role leads business development for payments and stablecoins across Mexico and Central America, with a focus on partnerships with banks, fintechs and payment providers.

Responsibilities

• Identify and engage key players across the payments and stablecoins ecosystem: banks, fintechs, PSPs, exchanges, wallets and market makers
• Champion Polygon Labs' product suite and roadmap, including on-chain FX, cross-border remittances and the upcoming Polygon Payments Network
• Prioritize strategic partners and corridors; shape pilots, integrations and long-term opportunities
• Analyze and report on evolving regional policies affecting digital payments and blockchain
• Co-create and execute go-to-market plans with top-tier ecosystem players
• Manage deliverables across legal, engineering, marketing and finance, and maintain BD tools such as CRMs, dashboards and KPI trackers

What we are looking for

• 6+ years of experience in financial services, fintech or blockchain, especially payments, stablecoins or institutional crypto
• Strong network across Colombia's financial and fintech ecosystem
• Proven ability to lead strategic BD initiatives and drive cross-functional execution
• Deep understanding of on-chain finance, including DeFi, stablecoins and institutional yield
• Working knowledge of regional crypto regulations
• Preferred: background in traditional payments or fintech strategy, familiarity with remittances, FX flows and emerging-market challenges
